* a hand painted canvas,
* sufficient yarn,
* clear working instructions in English.
* a suitable needle,
* a guarantee certificate,
* a
large colour picture.
Sort out the yarn
On the edge of the canvas you will find a number of small coloured squares
that represent the different colours used. Sort out the threads and
compare them to the assorted colours. Cut off an inch or so of the
thread and tie it into the corresponding square in order to prevent
confusion afterwards. Note: The thread colours may slightly differ
from those of the canvas.
Cross-stitch
To ensure you have sufficient thread to complete the canvas it is
important that you observe the following instructions: it is essential
that you make a full row of half cross stitches first and then complete
the cross stitches.
First you should embroider the
smaller patterns, e.g. leaves.
Tuck in the threads Every
figure must be finished separately (tuck in the thread every time).
The colours of the background and/or edge are generally indicated in only
one corner of the canvas, but must be used throughout. Never begin
or end with a knot.
Guarantee Certificate
If
you follow the instructions carefully, you will have sufficient material to
finish the canvas.
Should you run out of threads anyway, please return our guarantee slipduly filled in, together with a sample of the thread you
need. We can then send you the thread you require.
