Sort out the yarn
On the edge of the canvas you will find a number of small coloured squares
that represent the different colours used. Sort out the threads and
compare them to the assorted colours. Cut off an inch or so of the
thread and tie it into the corresponding square in order to prevent
confusion afterwards. Note: The thread colours may vary slightly
from those of the canvas.
Tighten the canvas Attach
the canvas to an embroidery frame or a self-made frame in order to avoid
that the canvas pulls out of true.
Half cross stitches
Always work per motif and/or colored area. Always start at the
left bottom corner of a colored area and embroider half cross stitches as
indicated on diagram 1. The second row of the colored area must be
embroidered from the right to the left (see diagram 2), the third row
again from the left to the right, like the firt row (see diagram 3) etc.
Tuck in the threads The
back shows vertical stitches (see diagram 5). In order to avoid
unnecessary use of yarn, please do not make long crossings at the back (tuck
in the thread every time). Do not pull the thread too strong.
Guarantee Certificate
If
you follow the instructions carefully, you will have sufficient material to
finish the canvas.
Should you run out of threads anyway, please return our guarantee slipduly filled in, together with a sample of the thread you
need. We can then send you the thread you require.
