Sublimation

On these pillows a sublimation technique was used for producing high-quality prints. In sublimation print, the sublimation ink of the transfer paper with a digital or analog print is heated with a printing press in order to make the ink gaseous. The fabric absorbs the ink so the color of the material has to be white or transparent, for the ink to be able to be visible. The big advantage of sublimation printing is that the textile absorbs the ink. This means that the print can be washed without fading, wearing or tearing.

The sublimation kits include a printed pillow cover on which only the design has to be embroidered. The fabric consists of 100% polyester. A needle and the needed DMC threads are also included in the kit, and so are clear working instructions in English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Swedish and Russian.
